Shirley Carnt (Deterding) an international artist. who, since the 60’s, has exhibited throughout the world as well as in London an in her home county of Norfolk. She works from her studio and home at Coastguard House, on the edge of the green at Thornham, enjoying panoramic views of the sea, marsh and constantly changing skyscapes, which provide much of the inspiration for her compositions. Shirley has also produced a number of illustrated books. Shirley was awarded Oil Painter of the Year by Aspire magazine in 2014.
